NAPULE E'... IN THE HEART OF NAPLES
Napule è... is located in the historic district of Montesanto, near the oldest market in the city, the Pignasecca market, which stands out for its picturesque atmosphere and for being always crowded with tourists and citizens. The Pignasecca market is a typical, characteristic market, where the flavors and the most typical atmosphere of Naples meet, between stalls that sell first fruits of all kinds and others that instead display clothing or objects at competitive prices. The market is open every day until 20.00.
The central location of Napule è... allows you to easily reach every corner of the city. With a very short walk you reach "Spaccanapoli", as the lower decumanus is commonly called, which connects the upper part of the Spanish Quarters with via Duomo. Walking along Spaccanapoli it is possible to easily reach numerous monuments and churches of the ancient center of Naples, including Piazza del Gesù with the Church of Gesù Nuovo, the Monumental Complex of Santa Chiara with the Gothic-style basilica and its famous majolica cloister, Palazzo Venezia, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore and the nearby Cappella Sansevero
which houses masterpieces such as the Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sanmartino, known throughout the world for its marble veil that almost rests on the dead Christ, and unusual works such as anatomical machines, two totally fleshless bodies where it is possible to observe, in great detail, the entire circulatory system.
Along Spaccanapoli, and more precisely along via San Biagio dei Librai, one of the streets that connects the lower decuman to the upper one is via San Gregorio Armeno, a street famous for its numerous crib art shops. Towards the end of Spaccanapoli you reach Via Duomo with the Duomo di Napoli and the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro.
Napule è ... is only 1.7 km from the Duomo di Napoli.
Piazza del Plebiscito, the Maschio Angioino, the Lungomare di Napoli and the shopping streets such as via Chiaia and via Toledo are also easily reachable on foot from our B&B.
The pride of Napule è... is the proximity to public transport. In fact, our structure is:
- less than 100 meters from the Montesanto funicular that connects the center of Naples with the hilly district of Vomero, where you can visit the Castle of Sant'Elmo and the Museum of the Certosa di San Martino and stroll along the shopping streets such as Via Luca Giordano and Via Scarlatti;
- less than 100 meters from Cumana and Circumflegrea which allow you to reach the Fuorigrotta district, where the Mostra d'Oltremare and the "Diego Armando Maradona" stadium are located, the municipality of Pozzuoli and the main archaeological sites of the Campi Flegrei.
In Pozzuoli it is possible to visit, among others, the Flavian Amphitheater, the Temple of Serapis, the Rione Terra, the Solfatara crater, and reach the port that offers connections to the islands of Ischia and Procida.
In the municipality of Bacoli you can visit, among others, the archaeological excavations of Cuma, the excavations of Baia, the Aragonese Castle of Baia, seat of the Archaeological Museum of the Campi Flegrei, the Piscina Mirabilis and the Submerged Park of Baia; - less than 250 meters from Line 2 of the Naples Metro which connects the center of Naples with Pozzuoli and with the Napoli Centrale railway station;
- less than 2 km from the Molo Beverello of the port of Naples, which connects the city with the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.
